STUDENTS WHO HAVE HAD PREVIOUS EXPOSURE TO A FOREIGN LANGUAGE MUST TAKE A UNIVERSITY FOREIGN LANGUAGE PLACEMENT EXAM BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THEIR FIRST LANGUAGE COURSE AT IUS. THE TEST IS GIVEN BY THE STUDENT DEVELOPMENT CENTER, US203. FREE CREDITS ARE GIVEN TO ANYONE PLACING ABOVE F100.
NOT OPEN TO ANY STUDENT PLACING HIGHER THAN F100 ON THE FRENCH PLACEMENT TEST.
THIS IS AN HD (HYBRID-DISTANCE) CLASS. INSTRUCTION IS A COMBINATION OF ASYNCHRONOUS, ONLINE CONTENT, AND SYNCHRONOUS CONTENT DELIVERED VIA VIDEO TECHNOLOGY. NO IN-PERSON MEETINGS ARE REQUIRED. IF SYNCHRONOUS PORTION IS NOT INDICATED BY MEETING PATTERN, IT WILL BE STATED IN INSTRUCTOR'S SYLLABUS.
THIS IS A HYBRID COURSE, MEETING ON A 13-WEEK SCHEDULE. WE WILL BE MEETING VIA ZOOM CONNECTIONS ON TUESDAYS 2:45-3:45 PM. THE REST OF THE CLASS TIME WILL BE ONLINE ASYNCHRONOUS.
